About the Speaker
Inez Ashworth (she/her/hers) is a cultural innovator, a powerful influencer, a dynamic leader, and a trusted advocate. In grade school, she was the one standing up to the bully, making friends with the new kid, and confidently wearing orange and red together. She still does.
Not much has changed—her unique style and dedication to equality, social justice, and inclusive environments remain central to her life and career. For Inez, true leadership means empowering people to be their authentic selves and helping organizations keep employees inspired and engaged.
Before focusing on Inclusion and Belonging, Inez spent over a decade in recruitment, gaining a deep understanding of hiring systems, the candidate experience, and access barriers. That insight continues to guide her inclusive, people-centered work today.
Her energy comes from community work, volunteering, and mentoring. She serves on several Inclusion, Diversity, and Belonging councils, and partners with post-secondary institutions to support minority students at risk of dropping out.
Inez counts herself lucky to be following her dreams, doing the work she was meant to do. She brings creativity, energy, and passion to every project and proudly lives on Treaty 7 territory.
